On the occasion of the Football World Cup in 2006 the Brazilian Graphic Design Association (ADG-Brasil) comissioned 30 designers to create posters based on the subject. The absolute lack of time and budget led me to design something quite simple yet conceptual, and restrictions turned out to be something to push creativity towards techniques I was not quite familiar with. Illustration, collage, and cardboard convey the message: the issue of exporting players abroad at a very young age might compromise the development of football in Brazil in the long run. The posters were exhibited at Fashion Mall in Rio and auctioned for charity later on. |
